This kitchen and dining space by Lofty Design Interiors was photographed on a dark and rainy day. In Texas, you never know what the weather is up to and we were both surprised to be greeted with storms on our shoot day. This home has limited natural light but still looks bright and beautiful.

When the kitchen is the heart of the home, it is important to get all of the details right. The waterfall island contrasted with the dark pop of color really creates the focus of the room. Then, the design flows across to the dining room, where the open space invites you inside. You’ll notice a mix of design elements throughout the project like the dual tone lighting, leather stools and pops of gold. These choices create a cohesive look without feeling overdone.
