As a DFW interior photographer, I’m always drawn to spaces that feel both timeless and bold. This custom bathroom for Heritage Blue Homes is exactly that. From the moment I stepped in, the checkerboard tile immediately set the tone and anchored the entire design.

First, the Riad Tile checkerboard pattern creates instant visual impact. Its classic layout feels fresh and modern while still honoring traditional design elements. Because the pattern carries so much personality, the rest of the space stays intentionally clean and refined. This balance allows the tile to truly shine without overwhelming the room.

Next, thoughtful material choices elevate the design even further. Soft wall tones and warm finishes work together to complement the tile rather than compete with it. As a result, the bathroom feels layered, curated, and effortlessly cohesive. Every angle offers something interesting, which makes it an exciting space to photograph.
During the session, I focused on capturing the rhythm and movement of the checkerboard pattern. By adjusting perspective and light, each image highlights how the tile leads the eye through the space. Additionally, clean lines and intentional compositions help showcase the craftsmanship behind this custom build.
Bathrooms often feel small or overlooked, but this one tells a different story. Instead, it proves that even functional spaces can feel elevated and editorial. For builders and designers, these details matter—especially when presenting work to future clients.
Ultimately, this project with Heritage Blue Homes highlights the power of strong design paired with professional photography. As a DFW interior photographer, my goal is always to capture spaces in a way that feels authentic, polished, and ready to inspire.
